Thank you Halo8 for adopting this project! Here are my
ideas on improving the usability of wwwinamp:

The user interface could be changed a lot for handheld
devices (like the Pocket PC). At the moment, the screen
is cluttered with frame borders, scroll bars and
buttons too small to hit.

I propose a user interface where you have the main
controls at the bottom quarter of the screen (control
frame) and the playlist tools occupy the rest.

The main part of the "control frame" would be occupied
by four large (and friendly) buttons: previous,
play/pause, stop and next. Above it, there would be a
strip to control volume (IPC_SETVOLUME) and below the
buttons, there would be a similar strip to jump to a
random location within the song (IPC_JUMPTOTIME). With
some nifty javascripting (provided the client
understands javascript), there could even be a little
indicator showing the volume and position within the song.

The playlist frame would be pretty much as it is today,
except that a proportionally spaced font would be
better as it allow for more information. The search
functionality needs to be compacted too. At the moment,
you'd have to scroll horizontally on a PPC in portrait
mode.
