#1 segfault with efence

there's a severe bug somewhere, which i can not resolve
or remove (help
appreciated!):
if i compile the debug version with the electric fence
it segfaults as
soon one key is pressed on the remote.

i don't know how to fix this bug, so HELP is really
really appreciated!
if i do not compile hal-ui with the electric fence lib
it seems to run
fine. but i would like to fix this bug :)
