What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Example is for compact 5 row keyboard in portrait mode
2. tap on key 9 until popup with [ ( appears. Slide to the second of them to select i.e. [. Both ([ are inserted.

What is the expected behavior? What do you see instead?
I expect only [, but get ([.

What version of Hacker's Keyboard are you using? (See "Debug" section at
the bottom of the app's Settings menu.) 1.29.1288 a4c1fa499b21 2012-01-13 (umph. please add a way to copy this to the clipboard).

On what phone or tablet?
Samsung Galaxy Note

If applicable, does this affect the 4-row or 5-row layout, or both?
5 row, 5 row compact; cannot test 4-row presently, since changing the keyboard layout requires restart of app, which probably would delete my comment.
Which
language(s)?
German

Please check the "sliding key events" settings, that should be set to "ignore". It's only intended for specific devices with odd touchscreen reporting.

I have a pending fix to apply the setting to the main keyboard only.

Sorry about the long version string, I'll look into adding a copy function or shortening the displayed one. The first part (1.29.1288) should be enough to identify versions.

The changes from the 1.30rcX prerelease series are included in version 1.31 as published on Android Market, and this bug should be fixed. If it's still not working for you, please reopen or file a new bug. Thanks to everyone who helped with finding bugs and testing!

(Background: I'm changing the "Fixed" status to be considered open, the next steps in the lifecycle will be the closed states "FixInTest" and "Verified". This lets me mark issues as "Fixed" in commit messages without hiding them from the issue tracker.)
