Is this an ability so critical to our system that it should be required to be listed on every race template and character sheet?

In most RPGs, "Regeneration" is what we would call a "super ability" for super fast healing.

I don't think this ability is so fundamental that it should have to be listed on every character sheet and race template.  I think we should have a standard healing rate, like say 1 Lasting every 2 days, have a disablility for slower healing and a special ability for faster healing.

The Special Ability should be called "Regeneration", and the effect should be that a character heals thier ability level + 1 per day.. so if you have a regeneraton of 3, you heal 4 lasting per day.  It would probably have a special PPV of about half of what ever "flight" is.

I like this idea.  I like it so much that we're going to playtest it.

The disability should be something like "slow healing," and each level doubles your heal time to heal one lasting damage.

(Normal being 1 lasting every 2 days.)

level : days to heal one lasting damage point
        0.5 : 3
        1.0 : 4
        1.5 : 6
        2.0 : 8
        2.5 :12
        3.0 :16
        3.5 :24
        4.0 :32
        4.5 :48
        5.0 :64

CFGalbraith brought up a concept where you just subtract the disability from the number of hitpoints you heal in the standard amount of time.  If the result is negative they would have to make medical roles or something.  This might actually be an idea for a completely different regeneration disability, but I thought it should be considered.
