The following three packages appear to be pre-reqs for
compiling CVS (as of 2006-08-11), but the configure
script does not abort if they are not present.
hmm... these can be addressed in the spec file (in fact I
think i recall that one or more, maybe all, are). Addressing
these in configure is more challenging, for me, but ideally,
that's where it should be done.

Those packages are only needed if you want to use the
plugins for encrypted messaging and xmms-support. GYachI can
be used without them. But you're right. Actually the build
process will be aborted because the plugins cannot be
compiled without those packages. We plan to add a switch in
the configure script to turn on/off the build of plugins.
