The Network Service sends installation information back to GroundWork.
The complete set of information gathered is:... read more
What's New in GroundWork Monitor 5.3
GroundWork Monitor 5.3 delivers a better monitoring experience from
deployment to reporting to help you better manage your systems.
Release highlights:
INCREASED SCALABILITY
GroundWork Monitor 5.3 greatly increases the capacity of a single
GroundWork server. In lab testing we measured an approximately 50%
increase in the out–of–the–box throughput. In larger distributed
environments further increases were measured. This improved scalability
was achieved by adopting the improvements in the Nagios® 3 release,
numerous performance code fixes and tuning the default configuration of
GroundWork Monitor 5.3 to match the needs of larger deployments.... read more

WHAT'S NEW (October 23, 2007)
1) Seeded with configuration data to monitor three public websites (two DNS servers and GroundWork's web site) and the machine running GroundWork out-of-the-box
2) Some minor fixes to existing configurations to provide clearer initial monitoring
The Ganglia-to-GroundWork Integration Module allows Ganglia, an IT monitoring system for large clusters and grids, to easily integrate with and interface with other popular open-source tools through GroundWork Monitor. GroundWork Monitor operator views, dashboards reports, notifications and configuration tools can now be shared with data generated by the Ganglia system. Documentation and all the necessary code are downloadable in a single, small zip file (640K).
We just released 5.1.3-3 for 32-bit RHEL4 & 32-bit RHEL5. This fixes the broken foundation rpm which would not install properly on some systems. All other platforms should use 5.1.3-2.
