#28 Ubuntu 11.10 - can't Load World/Program

I installed GvR form the Ubuntu Software Center and, eventually, figured out how to create a world / program - and that by exiting I was asked to save them.

After exiting however I found I couldn't 'Load' the saved file 'step01.gvr' (lesson #1)
(which contains:
move
move
move
move
turnoff )

Going the the home/GvR directory I could find the file but couldn't find GvR listed as a possible program to open it with and Python (of course) won't run it.

How can I get GvR to Load a World / Program that I created in a previous session?
