[GUSDEV] GUS Java Requirements?

I'm curious what folks are using for Java?  If GUS were to begin  
requiring 1.5/5.0, how much trouble would this create for the  
community?  All of CBIL at this point is using 1.5/5.0

Note:  The WDK already makes this requirement.
