mark- oops. it is supposed to be an optional attribute of <sqlQuery>, and the model code supports it. but, the wdkModel.rng schema file forgot about it. i have added it to wdkModel.rng. you can get it from cvs: WDK/Model/lib/rng/wdkModel.rng couple of things: 1. i'd be interested to know why you want to turn off caching. 2. glad to hear you are using an xml editor. which one are you using? steve Mark S.
