1) can you send me the lines that you commented, so i can fix the problem.

2) the problem is that the tarball is excluding empty directories.  for 
now, create the following directories:

/home/projects/GUS/Model/src/java/org/gusdb/model/hand_edited/SRes
/home/projects/GUS/Model/src/java/org/gusdb/model/hand_edited/Core
/home/projects/GUS/Model/src/java/org/gusdb/model/hand_edited/RAD3
/home/projects/GUS/Model/src/java/org/gusdb/model/hand_edited/TESS
