Pains...

Well, I've considered giving up the whole project, making all of my SC public domain, both my linux and dos version, and just seeing where this takes of. I should also mention creating a new project manager. Maybe I'll take on a role of consulting this project. Well, if you give me a good reason why, I might just make you an admin of this project. So shoot, give me something.

Website Improved!!!

Good news all. The website for the Realms of Turmoil now actually looks half-way decent! Yah! Well, it will become something in the fairy near future. It's got at least some kind of work on there. Soon to come include more features of the game and such. I'm no longer in school for the rest of the summer, so I figured I'd do something with the Realms of Turmoil. It's very slow work porting stuff over, esp. when I barely have any kind of an idea of what to do. But it's coming, and I think it will be here sometime in the reasonably near future. Maybe. Anyways, thanks for all of your support, and stay tuned for updates.

Basic storyline released

Well, I was going to wait for submissions to take place for my job opening, but instead, I'll just say this. I've posted the basic points of the story for the game being formed. I would like a short story, not too long nor to short to be created from this. Submit your stuff into the documents. The winner of the story will get some yet to be determine prize, possibly the privlage of having an ad-free first round. Not that the ads will be that big of a deal, but anything helps...

Realms of Turmoil Charter Released

This is just a kind of guide to what the Realms of Turmoil will be. It is fairly well detailed, and includes pretty much everything. Note that this is subject to change. But I'm pretty confident that it is the plan of my game that I want to stick to. Finally, after how many years...

Release!!!

Yah, at long last I have a release! What's the matter? Doesn't look like you though? DOS based? No CGI at all? Well, let's just say this is a test of the core. Read the .txt file included in the release for more information, it explains exactly why everything is the way it is. Anyways, enjoy! Even if you can't really do that much to it...

Really back on the roll, this time maybe a release?

Well, here's the scoop. I'm really on the ball now. I might even release my first file, a C version of my program that doesn't even use CGI, so I don't mind giving a copy away. The problem? Well, I've still got a bug or two to work out, that's all I can really say now...

Oh, good news #2. This site will have a web page. Yah!!! It might not be much, but it will exists, probably sometime in the next week or two. That's when this place'll really start get interesting. So maybe this place isn't all that dead after all... Hmmm... Will this be yet another short lived burst? Now that I've learned SSH and CVS, it might not... Who knows... In the words of Enya, only time.

New member

I'd like to welcome our newest (And only besides me) member to this project, Kevin Taylor! I'm still taking applications, and you don't even have to be that special, just have either a willingness to help me develop ideas for the game or help me programming in C, or even helping me learn how to use the CVS and creating our web site would help me tremendously. Who knows, a few more people might make me finish this project out. Oh, if you message me, I might be able to give you a copy of my source code... Maybe...

On the move once again

Hey, sorry to inform you of this who were looking forward to a game in perl, but it's just not likely to happen. I realized that I'd have to learn my trick of databasing all over again, which is much harder than my relitively simple bug fix to my current C version of it. But this is back up to actively working status, so look forward to updates coming soon.

News update/ NEED HELP/ Name finalized

I'm working on the game still, just to let you know out there. I am working on promotional game, and I've got even more details worked out. I'm going to try something dramatic, there will be 2 people jointly ruling the kingdom, sharing resources, each trying to promote either their science or magic. And if they work together, they will work wonders.

Also, any emails are quite appreciated. I need comments and if anyone has help, I'd really appreciate it. The game is now officially named "The Realms of Turmoil". Look for future updates. Until my next update.

Mailing List/ Need Input

Okay, I have 2 things. I have a mailing list now, feel free to subscribe and use it. The other thing is I need your input, give it on the forms. I need some ideas for various things. I'm still up to which language to program this in, and what database to use, so feel free to fire off some input on it.
