I only mean the compile worked and produced a kernel which I was able to boot into. To get to that point I changed the kernel config to include module support and re-built from the buildroot. Modules_install wasn't needed by me at that point because I didn't actually create any modules. My long term plans include making a NSSP driver for my device and that will be done as a module, so I needed to get the kernel there first. I haven't started my own module yet (I first have to figure out how to use 2.6's module build system; I've only worked directly with 2.4 modules before.) -----Original Message----- From: gum...@li... Subject: [SPAM] - Re: [Gumstix-users] Module support - Email found in subject When you say build with modules worked, do you mean that the buildroot scripts automagically install all the modules in build_arm/root/lib/modules/* and do the depmod on that? Or did you have to change the make process somehow to do a modules_install? C On Sep 13, 2004, at 1:58 PM, Heilpern, Mark wrote: |
