Hello, I am trying to establish network access on a Summit with an Overo Water mounted to it. I have a powered USB hub, and the keyboard and mouse connected through it (to the OTG port) worked fine with plug and play. I connected a NETGEAR N150 wireless USB adapter to it, and it recognized that something had been added, but did not appear to configure it nor realize it was an input device. I saw a posting earlier stating that others had luck with the WIFI dongle operating simply as plug-n-play. Is that only for the Linksys USB200M? My build is Linux version 2.6.39 and Angstrom 2011.03 My /etc/network/interfaces/ has everything except 'lo' commented, although uncommenting usb0 and wlan0 did not solve the problem. ifconfig has only ever shown the 'lo' functionality. The startup messages show it recognizing it as overo usb 1-1.2: Product WNA1100 overo usb 1-1.2: Manufacturer: NETGEAR WNA etc...etc... but unlike the keyboard and mouse, there is no 'overo input: Logitech USB optical mouse as /devices/platform.........' Am I missing the drivers? I've been working this problem for 2 weeks and am completely confused! Any help on how to get the Summit board to recognize the WIFI dongle? -Adam -- View this message in context: http://gumstix.8.n6.nabble.com/WIFI-over-USB-on-Overo-Summit-Combo-tp4625924p4625924.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
