Hi, today I did my first steps with the Overo Fire and a Tobi-Expansion. Everything seemed to work fine over the console, but when I tried to connect a Display via HDMI, nothing was displayed. In addition, die USB host port doesn't seem to work. A simple USB-keyboard isn't recognized (and even not powered, NUM-Lock isn't lighting up). Nothing else than console, USB-keyboard and HDMI plugged in, 5VDC standard PSU with 5A max. So I tried different things for the HDMI: 1. NAND could be broken -> Tried both a DEV-image and the stable image (from gumstix) with MMC-boot, both the desktop version. No success. No Problems with the mmc boot though... 2. Updated and upgraded both packages. No success 3. Tried out three different HDMI to DVI cables. No success 4. Swapped the Monitor. First I used a 26", than a 19" (Samsung and Acer). No success I noticed that the monitor does get a signal from the board (no signal only reported by the display on reboot and when I removed the HDMI). So I checked, but there is no display present in X. I changed the factory settings to 800x600, but no success. And for the USB: 1. Tried three different standard USB-keyboards a gaming-keyboard. No success, nothing happens. Devices also not present in Linux. Could it be, that the board is broken? Because the Overo itself seems to work nice, even Wi-Fi and Bluetooth do work fine... Any suggestions highly appreciated! Regards, Lukas PS: This is my first post to a mailing list, hope I've done it right :) |
