What a coincidence! I just got my Fire in the mail yesterday and started setting it up and then saw this post last night before going to bed. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get it working (I haven't used wireless command line tools in linux since back in `04 when I had to compile the drivers by hand) I've got a write-up of how I got mine working, but it doesn't work well either. http://fastr.github.com/articles/marvell-wifi-on-gumstix-overo-fire.html Perhaps someone can share some pointers? I found your firmware post, I believe: http://old.nabble.com/file/p29272793/Marvell_firmware_9.70.7.zip But I'm not sure if it made any difference. I haven't tried updating the kernel yet. It still has the stock kernel on it.
