Thanks Shane. I re-flashed Nand to a pre-built desktop-nand-image. And on booting I can see the Angstrom symbol. After the boot-up, I can see the X mark - of the Xserver running on the HDTV display. However when I execute my program on the console, it gives the same error messages on the console (on laptop). The display still has that blinking X mark.
