As long as we're talking Android, I have some general questions regarding the current state of affairs. It looks like there are now a couple of active projects implementing OMAP-35xx based Android distributions... such as Oxdroid and Rowboat for example. Both of those include the BeagleBoard as a reference platform. Rowboat looks very interesting as it appears that TI and Mentor Graphics teamed up to work on it; it is completely open, targeted at a broader audience than just handset manufacturers and promises full support for OMAP hardware acceleration features (3D, DSP, Neon) and close-to-Google-release revision maintenance. Has anyone looked into any of these in detail or actually attempted to migrate one to Overo? Elvis, I haven't yet had a chance to pull and peruse your sources... what did you and the GizmoForYou folks start with.... from raw Android, or from the Mistral port perhaps? Thanks in advance for your input, - Jim -----Original Message----- From: Elvis Dowson [mailto:elv...@ma...] Sent: Tuesday, April 06, 2010 1:58 PM To: General mailing list for gumstix users. You also need to go into the overo-oe/recipes/linux folder, and modify all the recipes in it with a version 2.6.29 and higher, and disable it by setting DEFAULT_PREFERENCE="-1" to disable it, otherwise, open embedded will take the latest available linux-omap3-2.6.xx recipe.
