I'm trying to run Android on my Overo by following this guide: http://web.mac.com/elvis.dowson/Download/Android/Entries/2009/6/20_Port_of_android-2.6.29_kernel_to_Gumstix_Overo_Platform.html I have successfully built the filesystem and such, but the kernel the recipe ended up building was a 2.6.32 kernel, even though it has a PREFERRED_VERSION_linux-omap3 = "2.6.29" line. The kernel uImage generated wouldn't boot because I messed up the kernel configuration after trying to use power management on a non-pm branch, and I think 2.6.29 would be more adequate for this image. However, upon trying to build 2.6.29 kernel, this happens: victhor@victhor-laptop:/media/althome/overo-oe$ bitbake linux-omap3-2.6.29NOTE: Handling BitBake files: - (8206/8206) [100 %] NOTE: Parsing finished. 7572 cached, 316 parsed, 318 skipped, 2 masked. NOTE: Resolving any missing task queue dependencies NOTE: Preparing runqueue ERROR: Unbuildable tasks were found. These are usually caused by circular dependencies and any circular dependency chains found will be printed below. Increase the debug level to see a list of unbuildable tasks. Identifying dependency loops (this may take a short while)... ERROR: Dependency loop #1 found: Task 12 (/media/althome/overo-oe/user.collection/recipes/linux/linux-omap3_2.6.29.bb, do_deploy) (depends: set([128, 15])) Task 19 (/media/althome/overo-oe/user.collection/recipes/linux/linux-omap3_2.6.29.bb, do_devicetree_image) (depends: set([12])) Task 15 (/media/althome/overo-oe/user.collection/recipes/linux/linux-omap3_2.6.29.bb, do_package) (depends: set([161, 2, 102, 201, 76, 175, 19, 148, 57, 216, 89, 188])) I am not using the standard OE recipe, as you can see, because the tutorial told me to install some recipes on my user.collection directory. BTW, about the previous issue I was having(regarding a 2.6.32 uImage that wouldn't boot), I tried deleting a directory called overo-oe/org.openembedded.dev/recipes/linux/linux-omap/overo that I created while following the overo kernel reconfiguration tutorial on the user wiki. While the method did work, my image wouldn't boot as said before, and removing the folder and doing a bitbake -c clean linux-omap3-2.6.32 wouldn't help(-c menuconfig shows that my kernel configuration is still the same). How can I set the configuration back to default? |
