Hi, Please forgive me to keep on asking again.. >.<"" I'm still learning about linux and there's a lot of things i don't know. I've tried on creating the options.ttyS2 file, which contain this commands: noauth persist passive silent lcp-echo-failure 3 lcp-echo-interval 5 then try to run pppd on both sides, but it's still not working.. on /etc/options i put these settings: #/dev/ttyS2 115200 lock #local noauth persist passive silent #demand #connect /bin/true lcp-echo-failure 3 lcp-echo-interval 5 192.168.0.20:192.168.0.30 nocrtscts steps that I've done so far is : connecting gumstix to my laptop (running ubuntu 8.04) via serial cable - on gumstix, it is ttyS2 and on PC it is ttyUSB0 and then i change the settings on gumstix's /etc/ppp/options as i mentioned above and then i run on gumstix $/usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttyS2 115200 on ubuntu $/usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttyUSB0 115200 -detach and then i get the message > LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests. is there any missing steps or package in order to get this work ??
