Not sure if it is anymore straight forward...but you could transfer a/d values via serial ports to gumstix.

i am using a verdex pro and audiostix II and i am wondering how do i read
the values from the audiostix AD0, AD1, AD2 and AD3 outputs? can they only
be read through i2c? or is there another more straight forward way?

i tried to google but havent had much luck.
