Michael, I've seen it so many times. Don't feel stupid. Its so easy in this business to make assumptions. When you think about it, the cable is the component assumed least likely to fail, but it's the easiest to check. Sometimes I feel stupid suggesting stuff because they seem so trivial, but when you doing remote debugging you just got to go through all the motions and assume the other party take it or leave it. The way I see it, it was you're great detail of what you had and hadn't tried and the symptoms you were seeing that really left the cable option in play. GLAD YOU ACTUALLY TRIED IT!.
