Even though I've posted a number of times without a single reply yet, I'll give it a go. Have you thought about getting a usb mini extension then snipping it down and mounting one end in the case, then getting a suitable power connector from an electronics store and linking it up to the console board (very easy once you have the connector). You could even put a lithium battery charger circuit in there and mount the power IN socket on the case and hook the system power output to the power IN on the consoleLCD board. I don't suppose you solved my problem with your setup have you? Managed to get everything to line up on top of each other so the netwifi doesn't hang over the edge of the screen? How did you make your case? I'm moving gradually away from the idea of paying a premade case as there's so many variables in this kind of system layout. Subject: [Gumstix-users] Power & USB connections Hello all, I am working on building a case for my verdex-netwifimicrosd-LCD console combo. I have something that I am reasonably happy with (although my wife thinks it looks like the Professor from Gilligan's Island built it out of coconuts). See images below (if the image insert feature on Nabble works): http://www.nabble.com/file/p16275901/IMG_3121_resave.jpg http://www.nabble.com/file/p16275901/IMG_3125_resave.jpg It will look better once it is painted! My problem is I have this ugly cutout in order to reach the power & USB connectors on the LCD Console board. Can anyone suggest an easy way to break these out to connectors I can mount on the case? Can these be broken out from the Console LCD or off of the Verdex itself? I have poked around Nabble & the Wiki but not found a very clear explanation of how to do this. No doubt others would also be interested. thanks, Chris Armour -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Power---USB-connections-tp16275901p16275901.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
