We'd like to encourage folks to help add features and fix bugs in gumstix-oe, so we are considering offering "store credit" bounties. The current thinking is that we will post a short wish list of items on the bounties page at www.gumstix.net, along with the size of the bounty for the person who implements the feature/fix. We'll add to the list as time goes on and items fall off. There are a lot of logistical issues to resolve before we can do this: - acceptance criteria - how do we handle multiple submissions? first received, best solution, sign up ahead of time to prevent multiple submissions? - how do we set the value on the bounty? set low initially and raise it over time, bidding? Has anyone had experience with a particularly well run open source bounty programs? We'd like to avoid inventing this from scratch if there are some really good programs that we can emulate. Steve |
