Hi, I have a Gumstix Connex 400-bt with release 549 on it. I just purchased a Robostix and I spent some time today going through the steps necessary to activate i2c communication between the Gumstix and the Robostix. So, I followed http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Robostix_gumstix_ISP, choosing the precompiled files. When I executed uisp --erase --upload if=Flash-LED.hex I ran into a Segmentation fault. I ignored it, and uploaded Simple-Flasher.hex instead. It worked and the LEDs flashed as required. I proceeded to the installation of i2c on the Gumstix (http://docwiki.gumstix.org/I2C_on_the_Gumstix ). It worked, except that I did not see any output from modprobe i2c- dev and modprobe i2c-pxa. Once again, I went with the precompiled files. Then, I tried to install i2c-BootLoader and when I execute uisp -- erase --upload if=i2c-Boot-m128-16MHz.hex, I get a Segmentation fault. I tried with the precompiled i2c-Boot-m128-16MHz.hex, and with one I compiled myself (Ubuntu with avr-gcc 4.2.1). Do you know where this problem could come from ? Thanks. -- Thierry Genovese PS : Sorry for my english, I'm French. |
