Like I say, the cable I'm using works with my old gumstix but not with the new one, so I'm pretty sure it's not that - unless there are handshaking requirements on the verdex that aren't required on the basix...? Plugged the verdex into the old waysmall STUART/console-st board (which again works with the basix) but got no joy there. One other thing I noticed is that one of the 232 line driver chips is missing from my consoleLCD-vx board. The chip is shown as being present in the following image, along with several components between the USB and power connectors. http://gumstix.com/store/catalog/images/prd-consoleLCD-vx.jpg Probably a red herring. If it was just a faulty console board then surely my verdex would work with my old waysmall board...?
