Hi I have created my first rootfs (svn trunk) using default settings. It was build on a fresh Debian Etch installation running in a parallels box. While booting I get a bunch of messages like: ffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000000: 0x1600 instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000004: 0x746f instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000008: 0x612e instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x0000000c: 0x6e5f instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000010: 0x7570 instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000014: 0x6666 instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000054: 0xd732 instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x00000060: 0x349e instead jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x0000007c: 0x481f instead CLEANMARKER node found at 0x00000080, not first node in block (0x00000000) Node at 0x0001ea68 with length 0x00001618 would run over the end of the erase block Perhaps the file system was created with the wrong erase size? I have checked the erase size which was set to 0x20000 , the same as in /proc/mtd. Any ideas how to get rid of them? -- "All parts should go together without forcing.
