I transfer all of my images to the CF card under linux, using the network connection and wget, while being logged ini via the serial console. I then reboot under u-boot and load the files from the CF card. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |

I just got my netCF-vx in today. i hooked it up in an effort to get the = network connection working so that I can use ssh instead of hyper = terminal. It must be a bad null modem cable. I used my null modem cable which has = a bunch of pins I stick in the right holes (pain in the butt to do) and = I have a console connection. If you manage to get ssh to work, please indicate if you do anything special to make it work. So far, I (and at least one other person on the list) have not been able to make it work on the Verdex. (Ethernet is fine, but ssh-keygen is segfaulting.) =20 =20 ________________________________ From: gumstix-users-bounces@... HI Michael, On 6/9/07, Michael Caughey <michael@...> wrote: > is it documented how to do that anywhere? On the linux side of things, you mount the CF card using the command: mount /mnt/cf You copy the files using cp On the u-boot side (documented on the u-boot page), you use "pinit on" to initialize the CF card, and "fatload ide 0 a2000000 filename" to load a file off the CF card. I've discovered that my card doesn't work under the 1.1.4 u-boot, but works fine under 1.2.0, so I upgraded my u-boot. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
