I'm trying to power a robostix/gumstix combo off of a single set of 4 AA ba= tteries to drive two standard r/c servos. As instructed on the wiki, I cut= the jumper between the V_motor and V_Batt which should prevent the voltage= regulators on the robostix from getting fried during stall, but still need= to power the two inputs from a single power source.=20 The problem I am having relates to a loss of voltage to the robo/gum durin= g the stall. When the servos stall, the current drawn by the motors increa= ses which causes the processors to reset. Does anyone have a simple circui= t that can prevent the over current from doing tge reset? Obviously adding a second set of batteries is an option, but not a very goo= d one. I've also thought of adding a capacitor (any suggestions on size?) Roger Mailler= |
