Hello, After having problems with MMC formatted using vfat. I want to experiment another kind of MMC filesystems: JFFS2. I know that the gumstix use this kind of file system to store the linux. So we installed a jffs2 filesystem on the MMC using "mkfs.jffs2" and "dd" But, when we tried to mount the mmc on the gumstix we get the following errors ---------------------------------------------------------------------------= ------------------------------------- # mount -t jffs2 /dev/mmc/mmc0/disc /mnt/mmc Attempt to mount non-MTD device "/dev/mmc/mmc0/disc" as JFFS2 mount: Mounting /dev/mmc/mmc0/disc on /mnt/mmc failed: Invalid argument # mount -t jffs2 /dev/mmc/mmc0/part1 /mnt/mmc Attempt to mount non-MTD device "/dev/mmc/mmc0/part1" as JFFS2 mount: Mounting /dev/mmc/mmc0/part1 on /mnt/mmc failed: Invalid argument ---------------------------------------------------------------------------= -------------------------------------- It seems to be an error concerning the mtdblocks and we don't know much about that... Does anybody succeed in using jffs2 as the filesystem of the gumstix mmc? Any information is welcome! Cyril |
