Yeah - I have a newer Robostix which is marked as R341. It has no blue wire. The blue wire rev'd board is R294. I think that only the first batch of R294's had the LED reversed. The newer rev of the board still has a minor fit problem. The 32 kHz crystal on the gumstix still hits one of the components on the robostix. Gordon said they're replacing that with a smaller crystal but I'm not sure if that's just for the new gumstix (PXA270) or if they'll fix up the older ones too. This crystal problem is still pretty minor (the boards are very close to being parallel). I got a header version of the board where most of the connectors on one side were right angled, except for the MOTOR power and battery connectors. These still interfere with the MMC slot on the basix. It would also interfere with the slots on the connex boards. Hopefully this has been addressed. I removed the jumpers and replaced them with right angle ones. I'm considering getting the headerless version and putting the headers on the bottom of the board. > Also, I see that Robostix is currently out-of-stock (hot item!). When do = you > expect to have more in? I don't know the answer to that, so I'll have to let one of the gumstix folk chime in. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
