Seth, The only thing I had to do on the gumstix was change /etc/bluetooth/pin to match my access point's pin. gumstix located the network, connected, got an address, and I could ssh in after that. I was impressed. My laptop side is different though... I use the debian "ipmasq" package so I can create a new subnet and the ipmasq package takes care of masquerading it. pand gets run as /usr/bin/pand --listen --role NAP --encrypt My laptop's /etc/network/interfaces: auto bnep0 # bluez iface bnep0 inet static address 10.0.3.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 network 10.0.3.0 broadcast 10.0.3.255 up /usr/sbin/udhcpd /etc/udhcpd-bnep0.conf up /etc/init.d/bind9 restart up /usr/sbin/ipmasq down /etc/init.d/udhcpd stop my laptop's /etc/udhcpd-bnep0.conf: start 10.0.3.128 end 10.0.3.160 interface bnep0 option subnet 10.0.3.0 option router 10.0.3.1 option namesvr 10.0.3.1 option dns 10.0.3.1 option broadcast 10.0.3.255 max_leases 32 Note that the access point will typically try to roleswitch to become master. That means your gumstix can't connect to any other bluetooth devices while the network is up. I had some luck with having my laptop *not* do a roleswitch so gumstix could remain the master and connect to other slave devices.
