Hello, I'm trying to emulate a verdex board on qemu, I've followed the instructions on: http://gumstix.net/wiki/index.php?title=Running_qemu which by the way has been spammed, I used the prior version (I would have restored it myself but I don't know how to) Following with the qemu topic, I've tried different kernels and root filesystems all with the same result: ======================================================= qemu: fatal: smc91c111_read: Bad reg 0:30e R00=d0870300 R01=00000300 R02=00000004 R03=d0871000 R04=c001d1ec R05=bf0009d8 R06=bf000a20 R07=c001d21c R08=00000016 R09=00000016 R10=d0870000 R11=cfec1ef4 R12=00000000 R13=cfec1ed8 R14=c00359e4 R15=bf00204y PSR=20000013 --C- A svc32 Aborted ========================================================== It looks like the network card is causing the problem, I've googled it a bit and all results pointed this was a bug on freebsd qemu, nothing about linux, and I'm afraid I don't have the skills to understand the problem and/or solve it. Here there are the setup I use: host operating system: ubuntu jaunty desktop 32 bits qemu 0.10.0-1ubuntu1 (from ubuntu jaunty repositories) u-boot-verdex-400-r1578.bin Angstrom-gumstix-basic-image-glibc-ipk-2007.9-test-20080512-gumstix-custom-verdex.rootfs.jffs2 uImage-2.6.21-r1-gumstix-custom-verdex.bin and the command line to run qemu: qemu-system-arm -M verdex -m 289 -nographic -monitor null -pflash flash.img Anyone has a clue what's going wrong? Anyone being able to emulate the verdex? Thank's -- Marc. |
