I am trying to have the gumstix boot a uImage in flash at location 4000
and get the kernel to boot up and mount the CF card (formated in ext3) as as
so far I have built a custom kernel with what I think are all the required
drivers are. (ata, pcmcia) I have managed to get it loaded into flash and I
can boot the kernel using the bootm 4000 command. Basicly the kernel boots
but barfs when it gose to look for the root filesystem with the standard VFS:
Unble to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0). Anyone have some ideas on how
to go about doing this. Maybe my approach won't work with out some major
kernel hacking . I have tried setting the bootargs in u-boot for
root=/dev/hda1 and rootfstype=ext3 and have compiled ext3, pcmcia, ata
support into the kernel. The kernel boot shows the ide controller but I
don't see any verbage on the CF card.
