I use FTDI(FT232R break out board)serial adaptor to connect to my CONNEX
using breakout gs expansion board.
When I plug in the FTDI adaptor to USB port, I see ttyUSB0 in /dev.
I chmod 666 to /dev/ttyUSB0.
Then I set up minicom configuration to ttyUSB0 and 115200 8N1.
When I run minicom -o to connect the gumstix from my laptop, I don't see
U_Boot from Gumstix.
Nothing comes out at minicom.
I use minicom from root.
Can anybody suggest what is the problem?
Do I need to install FTDI driver in my linux host?

Did you disable hardware flow control? in minicom.
Did you connect Tx from the FTDI chip to Rx on the gumstix and Rx from
the FTDI chip to Tx on the gumstix, and did you connect up ground?
