Hi, When I compile bootloader.c with AVR Studio, I end up with the following two errors: ../../robostix/i2c-BootLoader/BootLoader.c:529: error: stray '#' in program ../../robostix/i2c-BootLoader/BootLoader.c:529: error: expected '}' before 'define' Line 529 is: const BootLoaderInfo_t PROGMEM info_P = { 0, // devAddr BL_API_VERSION, // version BL_API_MIN_VERSION, // minVersion { 0, 0, 0 }, // pad AVR_SIGNATURE, // partNumber ( RAMEND + 1 ) & 0x01FF, // regSize ( RAMEND + 1 ) & 0xFE00, // ramSize E2END + 1, // eepromSize SPM_PAGESIZE, // spmPageSize FLASHEND + 1 // flashSize }; (The AVR_SIGNATURE line). I should note that this is without modifying the websvn version of bootloader.c. Any ideas why or how to fix this issue? Thanks! ~Andy ak...@um... |

For example, when I compile Bootloader.c using the makefile, it uses the following command: avr-gcc -gstabs -mshort-calls -Os -Wall -Werror -Wimplicit -Wpointer-arith -Wswitch -Wredundant-decls -Wreturn-type -Wshadow -Wunused -Wcast-qual -Wnested-externs -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -DCFG_CPU_CLOCK=16000000 -mmcu=atmega128 -I . -I ../Common -I ../Shared -c -MMD -MF BootLoader.d -o BootLoader.o BootLoader.c The linker also uses non standard options. I highly recommend building the bootloader using the provided makefile. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |

Hi Dave, I actually get this same error when using your make file as well (I apologize for the delay in testing). Still a stray # at line 529. The make file gives this error with the original downloaded file and my modified file (I simply commented out line 382 in Bootloader.c to remove the pin override). Any suggestions? Hi everyone! Does anybody know if it is possible to regulate the brightness of the LCD display? I'm using a consoleLCD16-vx with a Samsung LCD, and an X11 image in my Verdex. All I found so far is a command to enable / disable the backlight: echo "0" > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank Any ideas? Thanks in advance, David. _________________________________________________________________ Back to work after baby–how do you know when you’re ready? http://lifestyle.msn.com/familyandparenting/articleNW.aspx?cp-documentid=5797498&ocid=T067MSN40A0701A |

I'm getting closer... I found some info related to the 'pxaregs' command. It allows to modify the values for the PWM that controls the brightness. I tried with these commands (unfortunately with no luck...): pxaregs CKEN_1 0pxaregs PWMCTL1_PRESCALE xpxaregs PWMDUTY1_DCYCLE ypxaregs PWMPERVAL1_PV zpxaregs CKEN_1 1 (tried with different values for x, y, z) i.e: x = 0, 63 y = 0, 500, 1023 z = 0, 500, 1023 Any thoughts about this? Am I the only one in this world with this issue? Thanks! David. From: eld...@ho...To: gum...@li...Date: Thu, 1 May 2008 02:05:18 +0000Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] Brightness adjustment?
