I guess it depends on the size that you need.. 0.1 degrees means that
you need 3600 counts/rev. With qudrature encoder you could get away
with 900 or 1800 as well (you can use each edge as an event).

Something like the EM1-1-900 is $32.55 for the detector module and
$7.35 for the disk (1" in diameter)
