Is it possible to connect/interface pic microcontrollers like the
16C84 with the gumstix connex or basix? Would I use the breakout-gs
or robostix expansion boards for this? Are there any source code
repositories for gumstix specific code, like the piclist source code

I guess I would have to ask, why would you want to if you have a
robostix? It can do anything that the 16C84 can do. The processor used
on the robostix is probably most similar to the 16F877, but with lots
If you run the PIC at 3.3v you can connect it directly using the
breakout-gs, otherwise you'll need to worry about voltage conversion.
I've been slowly adding sample code for the Robostix into SVN.
