I just got my robotics wifie pro pack. I sandwiched the verdex pro XM4
motherboard between the netpro expansion board with wifi module and the
robostix. I attached the Acroname USB connector
(http://acroname.com/robotics/parts/S23-USB-INT-ASSM.html) to the
gumstix output pins on robostix and hook it up to my mac. With the
correct driver installed and the 5V power supply attached to the
robostix board, I tried to terminal into the gumstix from Kermit, it
shows that the it recognizes and is connecting to the port, but nothing
happened. No booting message, nothing, just blank. I flipped the
orientation of my connector and tried again, still nothing. I put a wire
between RX and TX on my USB connector, and I do get echo back from it,
so I know it's not the problem with my terminal software or my cable. To
be absolutely sure, I took just the verdex pro board and attached it to
tweener board and hook it up to my linux desktop with the serial cable
that came with the package. Still, nothing happened.
Below is what got printed on the screen
[xxxx@...:~]> sudo kermit

Is my verdex pro motherboard defected? Or am I doing anything wrong? Any
advice will help. Thanks!
