-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello! I've been using Robostix and Gumstix for a couple of weeks now and it's very cool to say the least. My setup is: x Robostix x Connex 400MHz x wifistix When I powered on the gumstix today after I've been away for a week - it won't start 70-80% of the times. When it doesn't start I get a short flash on the red (same as when it _DOES_ start) and then nothing. Robostix has the i2o-io and i2o bootloader in it and standalone the leds flash as they should - and the gumstix and wifistix works separately too (I can tell since the wifiled starts to flash and locks on and I can SSH to it). It's just when robostix is connected to Gumstix. I'm wondering: since the robostix red light flash once - could it be that it enters u-boot or something? I remember reading about this issue somewhere but I can't find it. It had something to do with a pull up/down resistor on the UART lines - but I dunno. If this is what I need - can somebody confirm the exact things needed? Anyway - this is just now starting to occur and works 20-10% of the times. Any advice is welcome. Do you have the 10k pullup resistor installed on the robostix? THis is descibed over here: <http://docswiki.gumstix.com/Robostix_modifications#Pullup_Resistor_.28applies_to_all_revisions_-_upto_and_including_1131.29> It could be dropping into u-boot. The only other thing to do is to connect up the console by using a serial adapter. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
