hi all, i need suggestions on how to get around and install this
software on a gumstix:
there is a .ipk that runs in my arm pda, the software is called
puredata and i use it for playing back some audio samples.
problem is: i dont know how to install it on the gumstix? (just got
it 1 day ago)
i have already prepared my host linux computer with the buildroot,
but as far as i understand i will need to create a whole new system
just to add one little program, i hope im wrong and find a way to get
it to install and run in the gumstix any hint or advice to help me
understand how one can install software is appreciated, the wiki is
full of information but it all has a not level 1 entry level. (theres
no ipkg or similar pacakge manager for the gumstix?... im sure it has
to be simple but im certainly confused on how to proceed.
PDa is a clone of the computer music system Pure Data (Pd, for
short) that runs on Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's). Currently
only PDA's where you can install Linux are supported. Pure Data is a
computer music language, that is widely used around the world and
resembles MAX/MSP (another comercial computer music system). Pd is
free software, and so is PDa. PDa has basically the same
functionality as Pd. There are a few differences though. For general
information follow the links to the different sites that talk about
Pd in the webring.
