Recipe builds fine and its working nicely! Thank you Alex |

Nice of Gumstix to provide open schematics for their expansion boards, too bad they haven't labelled all the components. I'll be designing my own expansion board and want to have an interface to an LCD. I've looked at the circuit diagrams of the relevant boards (Palo, Chestnut, Gallop) and would like to know what the chip is around the LCD interface. There are 3 74LVC245 drivers, directly under that is the unlabelled chip. Can anyone tell me what it is? It appears to be for the touch panel, would like to know the chip type and number. Thanks Dan |

Dan, Have you also tried looking at the board files for the parts. I have not done hardware for the gumstix in a while but the last time I did I thought I remember the ability to pull up the board design in eagle and query the part parameters. If the full part params were not available in board they at least provided a link to the schematic where all of the info was available. So my suggestion would be to use the board file as well. Good luck. I looked around the files that were with the schematic but don't have anything to open them with. I guess this is where eagle comes in. I'll give it a go. That's correct. If you right hand mouse click on the centre of the IC and goto properties you can get the IC part number. For example from that method the touch sensor IC is (ADS7846) > -----Original Message----- > From: Ben Johnson [mailto:mya...@gm...] > Sent: Friday, 20 January 2012 2:39 PM > To: General mailing list for gumstix users. > Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] What Chip Is This? > > Dan, > Have you also tried looking at the board files for the > parts.
