Hi, I have just started working on a DuoVero Zephyr and I am experiencing the apparently well-known issue of having to press on the SD card to get the system to boot. I thought that this was a mechanical issue and that the only way to fix it would be getting another unit but I have recently read an e-mail on this list that lead me to believe that this can be fixed by loading the appropriate software. I would like to know if this is true and how should I proceed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Hi, I had this issue using the sakoman images, but they're quite old. I grabbed the images from the Gumstix website and that fixed the issue for me. J. Thank you for the replying but I am confused now. I followed some instructions in the developer area. Those led me to download a script and run it to load the operating system and make the microSD bootable. I do not recall being able to choose any images. Can you provide the link with the instructions you followed please? I know it's horribly confusing getting started. You get the images here. http://gumstix.org/download-prebuilt-images.html If you've already created a disk you copy MLO, uboot uimage to the boot partition and u untar the rootfs to the root partition. I found this very helpful. https://pixhawk.ethz.ch/tutorials/omap/copy_sd_card, but you use the files from the gumstix links. Good luck.
