not really seeing any major differences other than task-proper-tools, I think it was. Could it be the gcc version thats being built is not working properly? Maybe try rolling back to a previous version ?? I have frozen my OE environment awhile ago so I am not sure what is building currently.. To many breaks of the build system in my opinion. Hey; Christian posted a script that may help with the "not found" issue. If the recipe looks OK to you that leave the actual Kernel (uImage) as a potential screw-up J Maybe you can remember what you tweaked with "menu config" ?? Thanks J.L. Heres what I did: I downloaded MLO and uImage from the gumstix site and re-formatted my uSD card and installed them. Then I re-loaded my rootfs.tar.bz2 onto the ext3 partition. I ran Christians script, and then just the last line from the script. I ran make from the aircrack-ng-1.1 directory, and it worked perfectly ! Next I ran make install and I got the following weird error: root@overo:~/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1# sudo make install make -C src install make[1]: Entering directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src' make -C osdep make[2]: Entering directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' Building for Linux make[3]: Entering directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' make[3]: `.os.Linux' is up to date. make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' make -C osdep install make[2]: Entering directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' Building for Linux make[3]: Entering directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' make[3]: `.os.Linux' is up to date. make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src/osdep' install -d /usr/local/bin ß------------------------------------------------ Huh ?? make[1]: install: Command not found make[1]: *** [install] Error 127 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/root/tmp/aircrack-ng-1.1/src' make: *** [install] Error 2 For some reason it doesnt understand the install command. What is the script you are referring to can you post a link, I am not aware of the script you are running. Also you dont need to use sudo as you are root already. You have all the kernel headers and what not on image as well correct? Also dev files for any dependencies you need for aircrack? The other thing is I always have bitbake build everything, as I never had luck with downloading part of something and building the other. Never seen the kind of error you have now. I am honestly baffled as to what the issue actually could be here, what kernel are you using? Hey J.L. That would be REALLY great ! If you could build me an image. I don't care how long it takes J We are in the middle of a postal strike up here in Canada, so everything is moving really slow. I have a bunch of project stuff coming from Ebay L Thanks again. P.S. In the mean time, I'll see if I can't find a copy of the .32 Kernel. It may solve some other problems I've been having . Later; Bill The only other thing I can really suggest or offer is to build a working image for you with aircrack and injection working, but will have the .32 kernel and may not have other things you need on it but aircrack would be fully working. OK no worries at all I will start on it for you. I will contact you off list once its complete and you can tell me how you would like me to upload it and what not, also I will be sure that the recipe I build has the programs you have in the recipe you posted as well, just to make sure you are not missing anything. You can change the config to make it build you a .32 kernel if you want to go that way :) JL On Sun, Jun 26, 2011 at 3:35 PM, William Pretty Security Inc < bil...@xp...> wrote: > Hey J.L.**** > > ** ** > > That would be REALLY great ! Thanks J.L. A buddy of mine told me about a FREE FTP service called "You Send It". Works great. I use it all the time . Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] Aircrack-ng Bitbake Recipe OK no worries at all I will start on it for you. I will contact you off list once its complete and you can tell me how you would like me to upload it and what not, also I will be sure that the recipe I build has the programs you have in the recipe you posted as well, just to make sure you are not missing anything. You can change the config to make it build you a .32 kernel if you want to go that way :) JL On Sun, Jun 26, 2011 at 3:35 PM, William Pretty Security Inc <bil...@xp...> wrote: Hey J.L. The only other downfall to this is it would take a few days for me to get it fully complete, as I am heading out in a couple hours to do an audit and will be doing that for a couple days, but I could do parts of the image build and tweaks while I am in between things. But I do not know if that would be a good choice for you as I may make something you need not work possibly, in a worst case scenario. Hope I got everything .. _____ No virus found in this message.
