I am having a lot of trouble getting the USB Host port on the Overo
Earth / Tobi Board.
I have 4 different USB hubs, the lsusb -v info of them on my desktop I
When I plug any of them into the Tobi host port, I see that it
detected a hub, but in demsg, I always see some variation of
hub 1-0:1.0: hub_suspend
usb usb1: bus auto-suspend
and the host port does absolutely nothing until I reboot.
I also have Nikon D-3000 camera which I can connect directly to the
Tobi, and it works fine.
The only difference I can see is all the hubs request 100mA, and the
camera only requests 2mA.
What is the maximum current the host port is supposed to provide?
I know the host port does not support USB 1 / 1.1 devices, hence why
I'm trying to use a hub (and that I need more ports).
I do not have the R26 issue, my Overo has R26 unpopulated.
If I have to patch the kernel to allow for higher powered devices (and
remove the power pin from the connection to the hub, and power the hub
externally), where is the current limit set?
I looked in the location mentioned in a previous thread, and I can't
find anything even remotely similar in my kernel source. The image I'm
building is using linux-omap3-2.6.33-r76
If anyone has any ideas why I'm having so much trouble with the host
port, I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
