My name is Brandy M Parker and a final year student at
Northeastern University. We are building out final project with your
gumstix connex 200xm. We've already purchased this and we have a bit of
a problem and was wondering if someone from your company can help us
out. A quick review of what we are trying to build is this:
Design and fabricate a device to monitor and evaluate compliance of a
study subject during cardiac rehabilitation exercises that involve
pedaling a stationary bicycle. Our tentative goal is to design this
device and its components (sensors) such that it can be easily mounted
to any stationary bike and function with little technical assistance.
The compliance device using gumstix connex 200xm should be able to
collect the necessary data from the sensors strategically placed on the
stationary bike, store the data and periodically send the information
to a computer where a doctor (physical therapist or
researcher) can pull up for analysis.
My problem is, we've bought some sensors and we are trying to get
it to work with the gumstix's product but we haven't had any luck yet.
We know we need to write out some programming in Linix to help out with
this. Please help us because we are stuck and just don't know how to
start. We choose your product because we know it will be a good device
once our goal is accomplished, so please help us. Thank you so much.

What sensors did you buy?
What voltage does each sensor operate at?
What type of output does each sensor produce?
