I think I shot either my BOARD regulator or my ATmega128 from a robostix I bought a while ago (Rev 341). At that time, I just got a new robostix because it was easier. I am now starting a new project and was thinking that I could use a robostix to control it. I want to keep my old project intact, however, and wanted to use the robostix I fried. I was wondering if there was any way to power the ATmega128 without using the BOARD regulator to see what I need to replace. I would like to wire up an LM7805 and just touch GND and Vout to 2 points on the board to see if the ATmega128 is fine. I might solder it in at that point, and I might replace the regulator. Is that possible? Another question I had involves a robostix and tweener with no gumstix. Is this possible? I would like to use the tweener so I don't need to buy an RS232 <-> TTL adapter. I understand from reading the Robostix IO pins page that there are a bunch of regulators and 245 voltage converters that need to be enabled. Could I just short those signals to ground somewhere? I do not plan on using this robostix with the gumstix again. Thanks for the help! nick |

Connecting LDD_14 to ground will enable the voltage converters.
