I just got a ConsoleLCD-VX board to use with my Verdex 400XM-BT
motherboard, and I suspect it's faulty. Upon connection of the
motherboard, serial null-modem cable, and power, the power LED does
not light and no output goes to my terminal (using the middle serial
connector). I know the motherboard is fine because I have a Console-
ST board and I can power up the motherboard and get output using it.
Should I RMA the ConsoleLCD-VX board? I read on the wiki RMA page
(http://docwiki.gumstix.org/RMA) that I need to post here first.
I also saw other posts on the mailing list that the board will burn
out (underrated inductor?) if I attach the Samsung LCD. Using the LCD
is entirely why I bought this board, so is it worth replacing in the
first place? Is there some way to bypass this faulty component
without building a custom interface board?
