Anyways, it seems that whatever was enabled requires RPC. The first steps on this page: http://docwiki.gumstix.org/NFS (relating to the RPC stuff - you can ignore the NFS stuff), should help you to get going. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |

If you're doing that only because of inetd, consider taking a look at busybox's config, I think I saw a inetd option in there. Busybox's inetd will be simpler but smaller. - Alexandre |

Better as in functionality probably not, busybox's inet is supposed to be either equal or less featured than netkit's one, but it's probably smaller and probably compiles flawlessly, but, you know, your mileage may vary. Give it a try if you still have problems compiling netkit. - Alexandre |

Ok! I have enabled the RPC on uClibc but now after an rm -rf toolchain_arm_no_fpu I get the following /home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final/arm-linux-uclibc/libstdc++-v3/include/arm-linux-uclibc/bits/codecvt_specializations.h:421: error: `iconv' was not declared in this scope /home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final/arm-linux-uclibc/libstdc++-v3/include/arm-linux-uclibc/bits/codecvt_specializations.h:421: error: `__desc' was not declared in this scope /home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final/arm-linux-uclibc/libstdc++-v3/include/arm-linux-uclibc/bits/codecvt_specializations.h:422: error: there are no arguments to `__iconv_adaptor' that depend on a template parameter, so a declaration of `__iconv_adaptor' must be available *** [codecvt.lo] Error 1 make[4]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make[4]: *** [ctype.lo] Error 1 make[4]: *** [complex_io.lo] Error 1 make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final/arm-linux-uclibc/libstdc++-v3' make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final/arm-linux-uclibc/libstdc++-v3' make[1]: *** [all-target-libstdc++-v3] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final' make: *** [/home/roberto/gumstix/gumstix-buildroot/toolchain_build_arm_nofpu/gcc-3.4.5-final/.compiled] Error 2 [roberto@robyf gumstix-buildroot]$ > >The first steps on this page: >http://docwiki.gumstix.org/NFS >(relating to the RPC stuff - you can ignore the NFS stuff), should >help you to get going. > >-- >Dave Hylands >Vancouver, BC, Canada >http://www.DaveHylands.com/ > >------------------------------------------------------------------------- >Using Tomcat but need to do more? Looks like you're trying to build something which is using RPC calls. uclibc is built by default with RPC disabled, to save space. You can enable it by editing the uclibc config and then rebuilding uclibc.
