Hi, I'm trying to get my head round building expansion boards for the conne=
The project I'm looking at building is adding a camera to a gumstix
for visual guidance of a robot.
The basic idea is:- =20
=09Camera module (eg OV7620)=20
=09=09>> FIFO (eg IDT7203)=20
=09=09=09=09>> Connex 92-pin header (to get high data rates)
I'm deep into reading the PXA manuals, but I've hit a couple of problems.
1) What are the 4 DQM lines? (I'm interested in using Variable
Latency I/O Interface to read the FIFO, so don't actually need them at
the moment, but I may want to write config data to the camera later)
2) which (if any) of the chip selects (nCS[4;1]) lines are used by the
gumstix, and which can I use?
One other question...while looking for inspiration I studied the
schematics for the etherstix, and noticed a buffer between the connex
address bus and the NIC adress inputs which is permanently enabled.=20
Is this there for bus loading reasons? (the electrical specs for the
buffer and NIC look similar... so why would it be necessary?)
