How long did you wait? On the first boot after a new download, you may need to wait for a few minutes (2-3) while the jffs2 filesystem gets initialized. It used to be that you could use the jerase command instead of the erase command, and this would speed up the initial boot by quite a bit. Is this an image you built yourself? If so, it is likely that /bin/sh is linked to /bin/dash instead of /bin/bash on your build machine (this is common for Ubuntu for example) So this would be the first thing to check. Steve |

You're most likely building on Ubuntu and you have /bin/sh linked to dash instead of bash. Do I need redo all the things from beginning on this page, from " mkdir ~/gumstix" to "bitbake gumstix-basic-image"?
